Our State of the art waterjet cutter is controlled by the latest cad technology, the actual cutting process uses water, sand and 60,000psi pressure.

As a pioneer in waterjet cutting for the ceramix tile industry our combined cutting and design experience totals over 50 years.

We are of course still learning about the many assets of our fantastic new machine, just recently we have perfected the tricky business of etching tile rather than cutting all the way through, this enables us to produce slat type design and steptread edging.

The waterjet ethos sits well with natural stone design in that modern and classic designs can be reproduced to the specification of the client or the present trend.

The ceramix tile marketplace is now more sophistocated than ever and due to a "short attention span" we at Ceramix Ltd will strive to stave off the shackles of boredom by continuing to develop our knowledge of design in ceramix, marble, procelain and glass.

Brief History

Ceramix Ltd was formed in 1986 as a distributor of ceramiix wall and floor tiles importing from european countries.

Base tiles from our european factories represented great value but lacked in the design elements required by the british public.

Ceramix Ltd and a few other companies in the U.K saw a gap in the market and started to produce transfer design which could be fired onto any tile by anyone with a kiln.

This type of design went out of vogue in the naughties and the natural looks was and still is the trend.

Ceramix ltd purchased its first waterjet cutter in 1992 after being blown away by a demonstration at the Bologna fair.

Our lastest cutter uses flying bridge technology with a double headed system giving us twice the capacity was installed in 2007.
